'Monkey D. Luffy' Biography

Monkey D. Luffy, the rubbery captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, with his ever-optimistic grin and an appetite that could rival a sea king! This guy's idea of a plan is to charge headfirst into danger while screaming "I'm gonna be King of the Pirates!" like that's a valid strategy. Armed with his stretchy limbs and a stubborn refusal to quit, Luffy somehow manages to turn the world upside down without a second thought. If only he could remember directions as well as he remembers his friends' names, maybe they'd get lost a little less often.

The sculpting on this figure is incredibly detailed, especially the steam effect swirling around his fist. It stands about 7 inches tall and feels solid, no wobbly parts at all. I’ve been collecting One Piece figures for years and this one really stands out.

The paint job on the Gear 4 form really pops under my shelf light, especially the glossy finish on his arms. He’s got a solid weight to him too, so he stays put without wobbling on the base. Definitely the centerpiece of my One Piece display now.

The pose is absolutely dynamic, with Luffy's Gear 4 muscles and steam effects capturing the power perfectly. It arrived well-packaged and the paint details are clean, no sloppy lines anywhere. Definitely my favorite piece on the shelf right now.
