Compare Banpresto's One Piece Fl Gear 5 Luffy Vol.4 and King of Artist Sabo on size, sculpt and display impact, with honest trade-offs for collectors.

Quick answer

Choose the Banpresto One Piece Fl Gear 5 Luffy Vol.4 if you want a compact, lower-cost centerpiece of Luffy's Gear 5 form. Choose the King of Artist Sabo figure if you prefer a larger, limited-edition sculpt with Sabo's flame-wielding pose and dapper outfit.

Size and shelf footprint: 4.7 inches vs a larger King of Artist piece

The Luffy figure stands 4.7 inches (about 12 cm) tall, so it fits easily on a bookshelf, desk or crowded detolf shelf without stealing space from other figures. Sabo's exact height is not supplied, but King of Artist figures are typically larger; if you need a precise measurement, treat that as a limitation and check the product page before ordering.

If your display area is tight, Luffy's compact size is a practical advantage. If you have open shelf space and want a figure that anchors a One Piece section, Sabo's larger presence may suit you better.

Sculpt and character: dynamic Gear 5 vs limited-edition Sabo

The Luffy figure captures Gear 5's exaggerated, playful energy in a small scale. The Sabo figure is described as a limited-edition King of Artist piece with a detailed sculpt of his outfit, dynamic pose and fierce expression. That makes Sabo the stronger choice if you value costume detail and a dramatic silhouette over compactness.

Neither figure's material or articulation is supplied, so don't assume poseability or specific paint finishes. Base your choice on the character and the sculpt style you prefer.

Price and availability trade-off

At catalog prices, the Luffy figure is the lower-cost option, while Sabo carries a higher price as a limited-edition King of Artist release. Limited-edition status can also mean tighter availability, so if Sabo is your priority, don't wait too long.

If you're building a collection gradually, starting with Luffy leaves more budget for future figures. If you're adding a standout piece to an existing One Piece shelf, Sabo's premium positioning may justify the extra cost.

Key trade-offs to weigh

Shelf space vs presence: Luffy's 4.7-inch height saves space; Sabo's larger King of Artist scale delivers more visual impact. Measure your shelf depth and height before deciding. If space is tight, Luffy is the safer fit.
Budget vs limited edition: Luffy is the lower-cost entry; Sabo costs more but is a limited-edition release. Decide whether rarity or budget matters more to you. Limited editions can sell out, so prioritize Sabo if it's your first choice.
Character focus: Pick Luffy if Gear 5 is the form you want to showcase; pick Sabo if you prefer the Revolutionary Army aesthetic and a flame-themed display. Match the figure to the character you want to see daily.
